It upgraded me to Sublime 4, which now wants me to upgrade my license and wants another 70 from me. Sublime Text is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. ago by dvboy How to disable upgrade popup So I started Sublime this morning and I got the semi-frequent popup that an upgrade is available, which I clicked on as usual. My goal is now to build my own Emacs config from scratch, exactly how I want it. One license is all you need to use Sublime Text on every computer you own, no matter what operating system it uses. What I did see was ergoemacs and xah-fly-keys. That's the anti-thesis of customization and I refuse to accept these archaic binds which solve nothing. It's kind of insane how everybody is saying that Emacs is perfect for customization, but whenever you mention the absurd default keybinds, people recommend to stick with it and just learn it. I stuck with Doom for a while, but couldn't wrap my head around the custom keymap configuration functions. ![]() ![]() Prelude was the worst offender to me, with how there's a warning when using arrow keys and used other keybinds to make them completely unusable. And like you I also use Colemak, so any of those keybinds make no sense for me. I have an ergonomic keyboard which solves the navigation layer on an OS level with the help of QMK. I dipped into Doom, Spacemacs, even Prelude, but they all do too much. To go to Emacs on top of that was just too much. I'm also knee-deep in learning Phoenix channels and a 40 hours work week. I can't see myself getting productive fast enough. ![]()
